Employers who have applied to the Job Retention Scheme: wages for furloughed employees are now being paid, just one week after application. Claims made on 20 April should all arrive in bank accounts by 28 April 2020. But some businesses may have receive payments already.
HMRC indicate yo not worry if your business hasn’t received payment yet – it will take six working days for the claim to be processed, issued and received. Please don’t call HMRC to chase payment, they won’t be able to update you before the six working days period.
