Jade Linton of Thursfields provided an update on Employment Law

Employers may face legislation requiring more accurate recording of worked time.

The government is consulting on measures to prevent the misuse of confidentiality clauses.

A number of tribunal cases.

The correct way to calculate holiday pay is to base it on working days not calendar days. The reference period used to calculate holiday on an average 12 month rolling period.

Redundancy protection could be protected by a further 6 months for this returning from maternity leave.

The Good Work plan (following the Taylor review recommendations) extends holiday reference period from 12 to 52 weeks. Right for workers to request regular work after 26 weeks.
