Opinion

During the Coronavirus pandemic registry offices have periodically been closed preventing parents from registering their new born family addition. As a temporary measure, parents have been able to initiate claims for child benefit without a birth certificate.

Now that some restrictions are lifted and registry offices open , parents are now encouraged, where possible, to register the birth to confirm details for child benefit.
