Employers – if you make an error when claiming!

HMRC have added functionality and updated guidance (3rd July 2020) to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme to allow grant claimant who realise they have made an error to delete the claim within 72 hours.

If an employer has inadvertently over-claimed, the amount must be paid back to HMRC.

Calculating CJRS up to 30th June furlough was hard enough to calculate. Now we move into Flexible Furlough, the calculation really complicates. It is important for employers to be accurate and not be viewed as committing some sort of fraud through error. This new facility aides employerS in getting it right.

Be careful, assess and decide on the best and correct claim period, gain the data for accurate calculations, get your claims in on time.

Let’s keep Britain paid.
