The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) closes for part 1 claims at midnight 31st July 2020. If you have an outstanding claim, then DO IT NOW.
The CJRS Scheme was announced on Friday 20th March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with the government supporting businesses to keep their workforce employed and paid.
For employees Furloughed for a continuous period of 21 days, 80% of regular earnings could be claimed along with the employer National Insurance and Employer Pension contributions (up to the Pension banded minimums).
On 1st July 2020, the Scheme changed from Part 1 to a new flexible furlough Part 2 where return to work plans could be put in place.
So any employer who furloughed staff between 1st March and 30th June 2020 must make their grant claim for Part 1 by the latest 31st July when the grant application closes.
