Furlough deadline less than 1 week away – #COVID19 #coronavirus – ACT NOW – keep Britain paid

Urgent need to view business continuity during #COVID19 return to work activity

Have you reviewed your business strategy towards reopening and getting your workforce back into work.

For employers wanting to take advantage of the new Flexible Furlough options which come into force from 1st July 2020 allowing full flexibility of part time v furlough coverage working, only employees who have been furloughed for a period of 21 days up to 30th June 2020 can be flexible furloughed in July, August, September and October 2020.

For those already furloughed, from 1st July there is no further minimum furlough period. The government will grant 80% pay coverage for the proportion of hours and pay not worked. Employers pay (full) only for hours worked.

You must urgently review and get your plans in place. Inaction will shortly disqualify your business.

So any additional employees (who were reported on RTI FPS upto 19th March 2020) who you want to include to qualify for government support, must have been furloughed at the latest 11th June 2020, that is before midnight next Wednesday (10th June 2020) and have 21 days of non-working furlough.

Make your plans, set in place your proposals, obtain employee agreement, get your workers paid, enable your business to survive, recover and prosper.

ACT NOW for the interest of your business, your employees, society and the British economy.
