Report your Pay Gap – deadline approaching

Businesses with 250+ employees are required by law to report their gender pay gap. The 5th April 2021 deadline for the report to 5th April 2020 was delayed due to COVID until 5th October 2021 as a legal concession. The snapshot for public sector employers is different.

Those employers who have not yet reported their 2020 data must now do so.

The intention of the gender pay gap data is use the information to improve workplace equality, which benefits employees and the economy.

Employers must report their data for 2020 to 2021 by 11:59pm on 5th October 2021. Report the details from your payroll as they were on 31st March 2020 (for public sector – any size) or 5th April 2020 (private sector with 250+ employees). These are called ‘snapshot’ dates.
